SERDANG, 30 August 2026 – MKR HARTAMAS (MKR) has launched the SemaiSens Agronomist AI Advisor at MAHA 2026, the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism International Show. The Advisor is the guidance layer of SemaiSens, MKR’s agricultural intelligence platform, and it answers the question a grower actually has in front of a block: what should happen next, and why.
SemaiSens reads a field from orbit. Sentinel-2 and Landsat imagery ingest automatically from the day a boundary is drawn, and the platform combines that with weather data and the records a team keeps on the ground. The Advisor sits on top of all of it.
Guidance that shows its working
Most agricultural AI hands back an answer and asks to be trusted. The Advisor was built the other way round. Every recommendation carries the field, weather and satellite signals that produced it, so a supervisor can see what changed before deciding whether to send anyone out.
It also declines. When the evidence behind a question is thin, the Advisor says so instead of generating a confident answer. That behaviour is deliberate, and it is the part MKR expects to matter most to estates that have been burned by tools which alert on everything.
Built for how Malaysian crops actually behave
The Advisor draws on crop models written for four crops that move through a season very differently: rice, oil palm, rubber and pineapple. Rubber is the clearest illustration. A mature block drops its leaves once a year, and a tool that does not know this will flag a healthy stand as stressed every season until the field team stops trusting it. SemaiSens suspends the health band through those weeks and stays quiet.
The launch took place at the MKR booth alongside the TerraGlide EV40, the electric tractor MKR introduced at MAHA 2024. Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, visited the booth during the show and was briefed on the platform.
